Just a day ago Alex Rodriguez moved into third on the All Time RBI list and first in American League history with a three run home run to pass Lou Gehrig (1.993). A Rod now sits one RBI behind Barry Bonds for second on the list. There's a chance A Rod can pass Bonds tonight in Oakland while the Yankees kick off a seven game West Coast road trip.

Now one would think that since the Yankees just swept the reigning AL champions, the 17 - 32 Oakland Athletics should be easy. Sadly it rarely works out that way. Let's hope CC Sabathia and the Yankees bats can do enough to continue winning.
