Thunder vs Mavericks Game 3 Preview

With the series tied 1-1, the Oklahoma City Thunder host the Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals this evening at 9pm ET.  Kevin Durant will try to duplicate something he did in the first quarter of Game 2.

Kevin Durant will try to duplicate this monster dunk tonight.  Durant posterized Brendan Haywood with this nasty finish.  I love Mark Jackson's call.  "Excuse me.  I have an appointment with the rim."  Great stuff.  This was one of the more memorable plays from the 2011 NBA Playoffs so far.

The biggest headline tonight centers around Russell Westbrook.  Scott Brooks, the Oklahoma City Thunder head coach, benched Russell Westbrook for the entire 4th quarter in Game 2 in favor of backup point guard Eric Maynor.  Brooks chose to stick with Maynor's hot hand and keep Westbrook, an All-NBA second team player, on the bench.  It will be interesting to see how Westbrook responds during Game 3 this evening.
