Heading into the Presidents Cup things looked very promising for Tiger Woods, but after yesterday things couldn't look worse.  The USA ends up taking the first round despite one of the worst performances in tournament history by Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker.

Stricker and Woods went up against Adam Scott and KJ Choi, who performed very well making it the largest margin of victory in the cups histroy as well.  Woods and Stricker have faired well in the past but their last two performances have been bad, and this one was the worst.   They will get new partners on Friday for the fourballs match.  It will be the first time that Woods hasn't played with Stricker since 2007.
