It's been almost 3 months since Tiger Woods played competitive golf.  Next week he will make his return to the game at the Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio.

Woods once again broke the news to fans via his twitter saying "Feeling fit and ready to tee it up at Firestone next week."  Woods has always played pretty well at Firestone, winning there 7 times.  However it is also the place where he finished 18 over par for his worst career score.

Tiger hasn't played since he exited the Players on May 12 after just 9 holes.  He said that he would not be returning to golf until he felt 100% again, and it looks like now is that time.  It will be interesting to see how Wood's plays without long time caddie Steve Williams, who he parted ways with last week.
