Great offense and great pitching from Doug Fister helped the Detroit Tigers defeat the Texas Rangers 5-2 on Tuesday night in Game 3 of the ALCS.

The Rangers looked like they were gonna start a surge early with 3 straight singles in the 1st inning. One of those singles from Josh Hamilton gave the Rangers their first run. Fister settled down after that as that as he only allowed one more run but not till the top of the 8th. Fister's final totals were  7 1/3 innings, 2 runs on 7 hits, No walks and 3 strikeouts.
