Tim Tebow Needs To Play

Despite what I've been saying for the past year, I think Tim Tebow needs to start - right now!

In fact, I think the Broncos should start Tim Tebow for the rest of the season.  At this point, what do they have to lose?  Their season is already a disaster so could it get any worse?

These next 3 games should be the test run.  Let’s fact it, Kyle Orton probably isn’t the QB of the future. The Broncos drafted Tebow to start him one day. Why not put him out there now to either fail (which I think he will) or find out if he really is your QB of the future? If he doesn’t succeed, the Broncos can either trade for a QB or draft one in April. Remember, this coaching regime isn’t really the one that drafted Tebow? Josh McDaniels did.  Why not just prove to everyone he’s a stiff and move on with your life!!

This move could actually appease the fan base.  This season has been a huge disappointment for the Broncos.  They’re 3-10 and their coach was fired. They’re in a downward spiral.  If Tebow can come in and win even 2 of the remaining 3 games, it feels like a winning season to the fans. It gives them something to look forward to.

This could end the Tebow debate forever!  If this goes horribly wrong (and I think it will), it’ll all be over. Tebow will forever be known as a career back-up. I have a feeling the Broncos higher-ups want to put an end to this as well. I don’t know that they are sold on Tebow’s skills. I think deep down, Denver realizes they made a mistake in drafting him.  Why not throw him to the wolves and see if he either gets eaten or fights back?
