New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady performed surgery on a Dolphins unit that ranked sixth in total defense last season.  Brady completed 32-of-48 passes for 517 yards and 4 touchdowns.  Brady also hooked up with wide receiver Wes Welker for a 99-yard touchdown pass.

Tom Brady wasn't completely flawless, however.  He actually threw an interception.  Gasp.  Yes, Tom Brady's record streak of 358 completed passes without an interception came to an end.  Dolphins defensive end Jared Odrick intercepted a deflected screen pass thrown by Brady in the 3rd quarter.

Wes Welker had 8 catches for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Tight end Aaron Hernandez also cracked 100-yards receiving with 7 catches for 103 yards and a touchdown.  Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne was able to pass for a career-high 416 yards while completing 30-of-49 passes for 2 touchdowns and an interception.  Wide receiver Brandon Marshall had 7 catches for 139 yards.  The Dolphins host the Houston Texans next week while the Patriots host the Chargers.
