Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo stars in a new Starter ad campaign called "Romo Responds."  This commercial is actually pretty cool.

Tony Romo has been the subject of plenty of criticism throughout his NFL career.  Although he has had plenty of success in the regular season, he has a 1-3 postseason record as a starting quarterback.  He has won only one playoff game.  His struggles in crunchtime have been well documented also.

Tony Romo threw 31 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions last season.  Those are very solid numbers.  I'd be the first to admit that Tony Romo has to play more consistently in crunchtime and win more playoff games to get true respect from the masses.  However, the lack of respect he receives from most NFL fans is completely over the top.  A lot of people talk about Romo as if he's a scrub.  He's far from it.

The ad captures this thought in the commercial.  Tony Romo says that critics only focus on what the Dallas Cowboys haven't accomplished.  He also mentions that he also focuses on the same thing.  It's an overlooked point when it comes to Tony Romo; he might actually be tougher on himself than the naysayers are.  It's an interesting twist.  Thumbs up on this ad.
