Tony Stewart didn't win a race in any of the races leading to the Chase For The NASCAR Sprint Cup.  Sunday afternoon in Texas,  "Smoke" scored his fourth victory in the chase.

Stewart was dominate throughout the race leading 173 of the 334 laps. Points leader Carl Edwards was 2nd, followed by Kasey Khane, Matt Kenseth and Greg Biffle rounding out the top 5. With the victory Stewart is only 3 points behind Carl Edwards in the Chase standings with two races left.  Denny Hamiln, Kyle Busch and Ryan Newman are now mathematically eliminated from winning the championship.

Jeff Burton looked to make things interesting toward the end of the race as he gambled by not pitting, but he ran out of gas with 5 laps left allowing Stewart to retake the lead and the eventual win.

Next week is the newly configured and resurfaced Phoenix International Speedway. Stewart finished 7th there in the February race while Edwards struggled finishing  28th.
