The winners circle has become a second home for Mechanicville native Chad Brown, especially at Belmont Park. Brown picked up his third straight Belmont Spring/Summer training title this past weekend and did it with an impressive 21% winning percentage and his horses finished in the money 57% of the time during the meet. Brown had a big weekend during the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival winning the Longines Just A Game with A Raving Beauty on Saturday and the Grade 2 New York with FourStar Crook on Friday.

Brown will look to continue the momentum upstate to Saratoga where he won the training title in 2016 with a record 40 wins and that number was equaled last summer as the leading trainer was Todd Pletcher. Brown finished second last year with 39 victories and it looks to be another great battle this summer for the Saratoga training title.

Irad Ortiz Jr. won the jockey title for the first time in 4 years beating his brother Jose by 11 wins. Michael Dubb won the owner title with 19 wins during the meet, beating the next owner by 11 wins!
