Travers Stakes Post Position Draw Set For Wednesday

We're just 5 days away from the 142nd running of the Grade I, $1 million Travers Stakes and the excitement is building.

Post Position Draw for the Travers, scheduled to be run Saturday, August 27, will be on Wednesday, August 24th at 11:00am.

The Mid-Summer Derby is expected to include Preakness winner Shackleford, Belmont Stakes winner Ruler On Ice and Jim Dandy winner Stay Thirsty.

The Travers is part of a card also featuring the Grade 1 Foxwoods King’s Bishop, the Grade 1 Ballerina, the Grade 2 Ballston Spa, and the Grade 3 Victory Ride. The Foxwoods King’s Bishop and Travers will be broadcast nationally on NBC from 5-6pm.

The draw will be streamed live online at nyra.com starting at 11am.
