"Some fans are still questioning if he’s a franchise quarterback," said WGR's Sal Cappacio to "Armen and Levack". "The Bills think he can be and think he’s showing that. Down the road, before next season, they’re going to want to give him a new contract. They don’t want him to go into his contract year with uncertainty surrounding him."

On Monday Night, Taylor is going into New England as the Bills starter, so what should expectations be of the former NFL backup?

"I don’t think the expectations are for him to win the game on his own. But he has shown the ability to have big plays and win big games. We’ve seen him use his legs to make big plays. One thing that’s expected is to continue not to lose big games.

"The Bills can live with his downtimes because they’re not as risky as EJ Manuel. His upside and what he can do when he’s on is really good when he’s making plays."
