UAlbany Clinches A-East Regular Season Title

The UAlbany men's basketball team clinched the America East regular season title on Wednesday night after defeating UMBC by a score of 67-49 in Baltimore, MD.

The win gives the Danes their first regular season title since 2005-2006 and moves UAlbany to 20-8 overall (14-1 in league play).

Evan Singletary had 15 points and five assists in the win, while junior guard Peter Hooley had 15 as well, his highest total since returning the team.

Sam Rowley had 13 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

The Danes will wrap up the regular season on Saturday at 2 p.m. when they host Vermont at SEFCU Arena.

UAlbany is the No. 1 seed in the upcoming America East tournament. They will play each game at home.
