Clearly the UAlbany basketball team had vengence on their mind after dropping 3 straight games and falling to 3rd place in the America East Conference. They took out their frustration on the  Binghamton Bearcats. In a game that was never a game UAlbany came out smoking, built a 40-14 lead at the half and cruised to their 17th win of the year.

UAlbany ends their 4 game home stand a disappointing 1-3 but can at least feel good about themselves after humiliating the Bearcats.

Jason Guerrier came off the bench to lead the Great Danes with 18 points, including 5 of 7 from beyond the 3 point line. UAlbany shot lights out virtually the entire game going 11-23 from beyond the arc. Jacob Iati scored 16 points and Mike Black chipped in 13.

Also key besides Guerrier heroics was the entire bench of the Great Danes. Check this stat out. Bench scoring: Albany 37. Binghamton 2. YIKES!

In remaining 2.5 games behind Stony Brook for the America East lead, UAlbany never trailed.

UAlbany had lost 3 straight for the 1st time all season and at the worst of times. Dropping games to Boston U, Vermont, and Stony Brook very well have ruined the Danes chances of winning the regular season title and top seed for the conference tournament.

Will Brown's club has 6 regular season games left, 1 at Stony Brook. All Toll they have 4 road games left and 2 more at home. They hit the road for a game against UMBC on Wednesday night at 7:00 P.M.
