UAlbany Goes To Thanksgiving Break After Thumping South Carolina State Tuesday Night
Head coach Will Brown and his Great danes finished off the 1st portion of the season with a Tuesday night blast, taking apart South Carolina State Tuesday night in Orangeburg, South Carolina 83-55.
Albany shot the ball as if their Thanksgiving turkey depended on it, hitting 53% of their shots from regular range and an outstanding 51.7% from the 3 area ( 15-29).
Mike Black returned to his dominating ways, leading the Danes with 23 points including 5 for 7 from long range. Black was hardly alone in scoring prowess. Jayson Guerrier chipped in 18. Jacob Iati scored 14. Albany also dominated the glass out boarding SC St 37-26.
Albany takes breather after an eventful 1st 6 games including a historic victory at Washington. Next up for the Great Danes will be Monday night against Wagner University at home.
