If you are a Capital Region basketball fan and are wondering who you can root for in the NCAA Tournament without Siena or Albany playing, I have the answer:

Yale head coach James Jones led the Bulldogs to a first round upset of Baylor and Jones is a UAlbany graduate. He also spent some time on the Danes coaching staff.

Yale will take on Duke today in the second round. Can the Bulldogs pull the upset once more? I'm not anticipating it, but Duke is susceptible because of their lack of depth. If foul trouble or injury strikes, then the Bulldogs may be able to pull off another shocker.

So there you have it... if you are wondering which team to root for here locally, you can get behind the Yale Bulldogs. Whether it's Princeton or Harvard, the Ivy League has a propensity to pull upsets.
