The Danes overcame some spotty free-throw shooting down the stretch to register the 63-62 win, a win that puts them at 10-0 in conference play and 15-7 overall.

Tied at 58-58 with 1:21 to play, Evan Singletary continued his torrid shooting from the outside, hitting a three to put UA up 61-58.

Leading 61-60 with under 10 seconds to play, freshman Wheeler Baker put the Danes up three after converting at the line. New Hampshire hit two free throws the other way to make it 63-62, and a UAlbany turnover gave the Wildcats a shot for the win.

The Wildcats in-bounds play yielded a pretty good look, but the shot went off the mark.

Singletary had 15 for the Danes, while Sam Rowley led the team with 17.

The Danes wore Purple shirts in warmups with the initials "SH" for Sue Hooley, the mother of Danes star Peter Hooley, who passed away last week. Peter had left the team indefinitely to return to Australia, but is reported to be on his way back to the team, hopefully by Feb. 11.

The shirts also had a No. 12 on the back - in honor of Peter.

UAlbany plays UMass-Lowell on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at SEFCU.
