You know the highlight better be pretty good to take one away from Lyle Thompson. And by all means, the play by UAlbany goalie Blaze Riorden was one for the ages.

With time ticking down in the 3rd period, the Great Danes were looking to put the game on ice as Riorden saved a shot and then went coast-to-coast.

"I just saw no one in front of me," said Riorden, to ESPN, after the game. "I scooped up the ground ball and took off. I got a little bit of tunnel vision.

"It's hot out and I ran that far, so I figured I might as well make it count for something. I'm a big boy. I'm going to take my chances. I luckily beat the double team and took a lucky shot and it happened to go in."

The Great Danes smashed Cornell and are on their way to the NCAA Quarterfinals next Saturday in Denver against No. 1 Notre Dame or Towson, who play Saturday evening at 5pm on ESPNU.
