U-Albany’s Paul Layton has been named National Co-Punter of the Week, and was also recognized by the Northeast Conference as Special Teams Player of the Week.

His 70-yarder in the fourth quarter tied the seventh-longest in school history. His 63-yard kick on the opening possession of the second half was 1 of 4 punts that went for a touchback. He also placed three punts inside the 20, including a pair downed at the one- and three-yard lines.
