UAlbany Reaches 20-Win Mark
The UAlbany men's basketball team reached the 20-win mark for the third time in the last four seasons with a win at Binghamton on Monday night.
The 69-56 victory moves the Danes to 20-6 overall and gives them sole possession of second place in the America East Conference.
Evan Singletary led the way with 19 points for UAlbany, coming off his 20-point performance against Vermont on Saturday night. He led a trio of Danes in double-figures including Joe Cremo (13) and Mike Rowley (10). Ray Sanders also chipped in with nine.
A major difference again for UAlbany was the charity stripe. The Great Danes went 20-23 at the line, making as many free throws as the Bearcats attempted (11-20). UAlbany also added six three-pointers in the win, including three by Singletary.
UAlbany trails Stony Brook in the league race. The Seawolves are 20-4 overall and 11-0 in league play. The two teams will meet again at SEFCU Arena on Feb. 17.
