I am already missing the college football regular season.  If you feel like me let me wet your taste buds with the release of the UAlbany 2013 football schedule as they move into the Colonial Athletic Association.

UAlbany is moving to a new league along with Stony Brook. The Great Danes spent 14 years in the Northeast Conference winning six titles they head to the Colonial Athletic Association. In the CAA they will join with current members Delaware, James Madison, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Richmond, Towson, Villanova and William and Mary.

Since 2007 the CAA has produced two national FCS champions and four appearances in the national title game. Interesting despite the strength of the CAA, UAlbany has a 7-5 record against CAA teams when they were non-conference foes.

The schedule just released shows the Danes playing eight of the 11 conference foes, including the opener when they open the new Bob Ford Field, a brand new 8,500 seat facility. That game on September the 14th will be a clash against Rhode Island. The conference schedule will see the Danes playing back to back road games once, on October 5th and 12th when they visit in order James Madison and then Delaware.

The non-conference schedule has not been released as of yet. if you want to inquire about tickets, season tickets, prices, and availability you can call the UAlbany Athletic Box Office at 518-442-DANE.
