Proving they are over the historic win at Washington University, and the Thanksgiving celebrations, Will Brown's Great Danes returned to the court Monday night and returned to the win column by taking down the Seahawks of Wagner University 66-63.

UAlbany bolted out to a nice nine point lead at the break 36-27 then held on after Wagner rallied in the second half.

Mike Black continued his stellar play by leading the Danes with 19 points. Jacob Iati helped the scoring charge with 14 points. While this win isn't of the ground breaking variety it is a good feel win as Wagner had won five straight from UAlbany.

After a back and forth first half UAlbany went on a 12-3 run in the final four and a half minutes to grab the nine point lead at the half.

Jonathan Williams almost brought the Seahawks back as he went nuts, scoring a team and game high 26 points hitting 10 of his 11 shots!

Brown's ballclub now has a few days to practice and get set for the big rivalry game this coming Saturday when they tangle with Siena in the night cap of a double header at the Times Union Center. The Siena and Albany women's teams start the double dip at 5:00 p.m. followed by the men's game right after.

UAlbany is now 5-2 heading into the game. Siena still has a game to play before Saturday when they host UMass. The Saints are 2-5 so far this early season.
