So, you're a UAlbany fan, and you're feeling pretty down after the Danes lost the Albany Cup back to Siena on Saturday night at the Times Union Center.

But don't worry, UAlbany will be OK - in fact, they'll be better than OK moving forward.

The Danes are now 7-4, and here are the things to remember/consider going forward:

1) UAlbany played without two big men. Richard Peters and Travis Charles aren't huge scorers, but the ability to rotate big men would have helped the Danes stay out of foul trouble and play more aggressive on the interior defensive end. It's not the reason they lost, but it also didn't help them.

2) Peter Hooley scored 20 points. It's well documented that Hooley hasn't scored much or shot well this year, but he played assertive and aggressive on Saturday. If this game ignites his game? Then, it's a win for UAlbany moving forward.

3) Even despite Siena's size advantage - and playing two big men down, the Danes outrebounded the Saints. If they can outrebound them, they can outrebound America East teams.

4) UAlbany only had seven assists. This team is better when they are moving the ball offensively, they need to figure that out and not have the ball stick in someone's hands.

5) Coaching. Will Brown has been to the NCAA tournament five times. UAlbany will be fine.

So, my ultimate takeaway? UAlbany is a huge threat in the America East, and in fact, they have a better chance to win their conference than Siena has to win the MAAC.
