UFC Fighter Anthony Pettis Joins The Team

UFC Fight Night is live from Vancouver this Saturday night on Fox Sports. In that card Anthony Pettis will be stepping inside the octagon for his first career featherweight bout.

Pettis is making the transition from lightweight to featherweight. Although it is only a 10 lb. difference, the transition has forced Pettis to hire a personal nutritionist to help with reducing weight.

The 145 featherweight competition includes UFC stars like Connor McGregor and Jose Aldo. Pettis also touched his connection with training teammate Phil "CM Punk" Brooks. Punk is attempting to make the move from a career in WWE to a career in the UFC. Punk will make his UFC debut in September against Mickey Gall.

The UFC will have it's first event live at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 12. The Times Union Center will host the UFC's second ever event for a Fight Night on Dec. 9.
