The Union College baseball team is heading to the Division III NCAA tournament after winning its first Liberty League title this past weekend.

Union topped the University of Rochester on Saturday by scores of 7-4 and 6-4.

The Dutchmen will travel to Newark, N.Y., to play in the regional hosted by Ithaca College. Union will play Kean (N.J.) on Wednesday.

Eight regionals -- some with six teams, and some with eight -- make up the 56-team tournament field.

Union is led by first team All-Liberty selections Sam Caruso and Jake Fishman. Caruso hit .419 on the year with 21 RBIs while Fishman was 7-0 with a 2.13 ERA on the mound. He was also the league's Rookie of the Year.
