The Union College men’s ice hockey team will have five ECAC Hockey home games broadcast on Time Warner Cable Sports during the 2012-13 season, the cable provider announced today. All games will appear on Time Warner Cable Sports, channel 3 or channel 1803 for those with a high definition cable box.

Union, the defending ECAC Hockey champions and a Frozen Four finalist in 2011-12, is off to a solid start this season at 8-3-4 (3-2-3 ECAC Hockey).

Union’s first televised game will take place on Friday, Jan. 18, when the Dutchmen take on Cornell at 7:00 p.m. Union and Cornell began the season as the only two ECAC Hockey teams ranked in the top-10 of the national college hockey polls and finished first and second last year in the league standings.

The Dutchmen and Harvard will square off in a rare Tuesday night contest on Jan. 22 at 7:00 p.m., a game that will also appear on TWCS. The two teams met in the ECAC Hockey Championship Game in 2012.

Union’s Feb. 15 contest against Yale will also be televised, as well the game against Brown the following night, with both contests slated for a 7:00 p.m. start.

The team’s final regular season home game against Clarkson on March 2 at 7:00 p.m. will also be televised, in addition to the Senior Night ceremony after the game.

Since the 2010-11 season, Union is 9-1-0 in home games televised on Time Warner Cable Sports.
