The Union men's ice hockey team moved up three spots to No. 11 in the poll and up one spot to No. 12 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll, both released Monday. Union was ranked in the poll for the 55th consecutive week after wins against Clarkson and St. Lawrence this past weekend.

No. 11/12 Union (15-6-6, 9-3-3 ECAC Hockey) improved to 7-1-3 in its last 11 ECAC Hockey contests and moved into sole possession of first place in the league standings with 21 points. The Dutchmen are two points ahead of No. 14/ 14 Cornell and four points ahead of No. 20/RV Colgate. Both teams will visit Messa Rink this weekend.

Union will take on Colgate on Friday night before squaring off against the Big Red on Saturday night, both games beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The Dutchmen have been ranked in the poll since the Dec. 7, 2009 rankings, extending a school record. Union has been ranked in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll in 15 out of a possible 17 weeks this season.
