A year after going 13-14-9 and losing in the first round of the ECAC playoffs, the Union College men's hockey team is looking to rebound in 2016-17.

And the first step in that process is now under way as the schedule for the Dutchmen has been officially released.

The Dutchmen will open up the season on Oct. 7th on the road at perennial power Michigan. They will play the Wolverines again on Oct. 8 in Ann Arbor and will remain on the road the following weekend against AIC and Sacred Heart.

The Dutchmen's first home game will be Oct. 21 against RIT, who advanced to the East Regional of the NCAA Tournament last season. They will play the Niagara again on Oct. 22.

As for the ECAC opener? The Dutchmen will play at RPI on Oct. 28 to kick off the conference season. They will then get the Engineers at home in the rivalry matchup on Oct. 29.

The annual Mayor's Cup meeting with RPI is Jan. 17 at the Times Union Center.
