Juan Uribe, acquired this weekend from the Atlanta Braves, provided his first big moment in New York on Sunday, lifting the Mets to a 3-2 walk-off win over the Dodgers at Citi Field.

The extra-inning win moves the Mets to 51-48 and makes them 2.0 games back of the Washington Nationals in the NL East race. The Mets are also 3.5 games back in the wild card race, so the division seems the best route.

Jacob deGrom went 7.2 scoreless innings for New York, and the Mets held a 2-0 lead in the 9th inning, only to blow it by allowing two runs.

But it all ended up okay thanks to Uribe's 10th inning heroics.

The Mets sputtering offense had six hits. Curtis Granderson was the only Met with a two-hit game.

Uribe was acquired solely for his bat and for moments like that. It's a good, low-cost move for a Mets team that ranks near the bottom of every major offensive category.
