If you’re looking forward to the 2012 Summer Olympics, I hope you’re a bigger fan of Track and Field than you are of soccer. With their 3-3 tie to El Salvador last night, the US Men’s Soccer team has been eliminated from the 2012 Olympic field.

When you take a look at the way the team lost, your feeling of patriotic disgust only gets worse. With just mere seconds left in the game, backup goalkeeper Sean Johnson allowed a long distance prayer to go through his hands and into the back of the net. The tie means that El Salvador will advance from the qualifiers Group A instead of the US, thus eliminating America from the Loudon Games. Where is Tim Howard when you need him?
