The Tri-City ValleyCats for years now have had many Bobblehead promotions over the years.  Those who have been enshrined in bobblehead form are former ValleyCat players such as Hunter Pence and Ben Zobrist, local celebs such as News 10's Steve Capporizzo and CBS 6's Liz Bishop and even their mascot Southpaw. Today, team announced the launch of a brand new series of bobbleheads and the first will be Yankee Shortstop Derek Jeter in a 1994 Albany-Colonie Yankees uniform.

It's all a part of the ValleyCats "Heritage Series" showcasing players who have played here in the Capital Region. Derek played for the Albany-Colonie Yankees back in 1994. These Bobbleheads will be given away on Heritage Night on August 20th when the ValleyCats take on the Staten Island Yankees. The first 1,500 people through the gates of Joseph L. Bruno Stadium will receive a bobblehead.

ValleyCats fans will also have the opportunity to choose how the Derek Jeter bobblehead looks through a poll on their Facebook page. Options include a fielding, hitting or baserunning pose.
