ValleyCats Own NYPLs Best Record at Break
The Tri-City ValleyCats own the best record in the New York-Penn League as the teams break for the league all-star game, to be played Tuesday in Brooklyn.
The Cats (42-21) will send four players (OF Derek Fisher, IF Nick Tanielu, C Jamie Ritchie and P Ryan Thompson) to the all-star game. They own a 8.0 game lead over Connecticut in the Stedler Division and are one game better than Hudson Valley for the best record in the league.
Tri-City captured the 2013 NYPL championship and is looking to repeat this season.
