The Tri-City ValleyCats got a performance for the ages on Tuesday night, leaving just one game left until the 'Cats return home for the home opener on Thursday night.

ValleyCats first baseman Bryan Muniz went 5-6 in an 11-4 win over Brooklyn. He had two doubles and three RBIs. Muniz spent some earlier parts of the season playing with Quad Cities, one stop higher than Tri-City.

The ValleyCats take on the Staten Island Yankees tomorrow night at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. The 'Cats have been to the New York-Penn League Championship series in each of the last two years, beating the State College Spikes in 2013 before falling last year.

The ValleyCats roster isn't quite set yet, as we are still waiting for the Astros to sign some top picks and hopefully assign them to Tri-City.

Tri-City is 3-2 on the season thus far and will finish off the series against the Brooklyn Cyclones tonight at 7:00 in Coney Island.
