It's no secret that the Tri-City ValleyCats are a popular summer attraction in the Capital Region.

And the proof is in the numbers.

For the first time since their inaugural season in 2002, the ValleyCats have reached the 100,000 attendance mark before the month of August. Following the game on Sunday, the ‘Cats have drawn a total of 103,076 fans to “The Joe” in 2011.

Thus far in their 10th anniversary season, the ValleyCats have had three dates in where the attendance sits in the top ten all-time crowds at “The Joe,” including the single-game attendance record of 7,119 fans set on July 9th.

There are 14 more home games left this season and six more fireworks dates sched­uled. The ‘Cats currently sit five games behind Stedler Division leader Vermont.
