Yesterday, the Tri-City ValleyCats learned they had three former players get named to the Arizona Fall League All-Star Roster and on Monday, the 'Cats released their schedule for the 2016 season.

Tri-City opens up its season on June 17 for a two-game series against the Connecticut Tigers (Detroit Tigers). The 'Cats then head to Brooklyn for three games against the Cyclones (Mets).

For the rest of June, Tri-City's home opponents include the Vermont Lake Monsters and Williamsport CrossCutters.

In July, the 'Cats start on the road against the Hudson Valley Renegades. The 'Gades are the affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays as could have Niskayuna native Garrett Whitley on their roster.

The home portion of the July schedule includes the State College Spikes, Tigers, Batavia Muckdogs, Lake Monsters and one game at the end of the month with the Lowell Spinners.

In August, Tri-City welcomes Lowell, Brooklyn, the Aberdeen Ironbirds, Spinners and the Staten Island Yankees to Joseph L. Bruno Stadium.

The ValleyCats are an affiliate of the Houston Astros and play in the New York-Penn League.
