These days it's very common for a player in their final year of a contract to hold out heading into training camp, as they look for an extension and more money.  Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz has expressed that he would like a bump in pay after a fantastic season last year, but says he won't be holding out for a new contract.

I just want to go in there and play football. When I was young, it wasn't about the money, it wasn't about the fame and fortune, it was about playing football. Regardless of how short term this career can be, I just want to go out there and play and all that stuff will take care of itself.

-Victor Cruz

Cruz had a big year for the Giants, and was a big part of their Super Bowl run and victory.  Last season he stepped in when other Giants went down with injuries, and caught 82 passes for 1,536 yards, and 9 TDs in the regular season.  In the Super Bowl he caught 4 passes for a 25 yards and a touchdown.
