The New York Giants have begun to make moves to clear up cap space and the first two "Cap casualties" are WR Victor Cruz and RB Rashad Jennings. This may not come as a total surprise as the two moves free up $10 million that the Giants can use to fill multiple holes but there's something odd about Victor Cruz not being a Giant. Was NJ.com's James Kratch shocked by the former undrafted free agent being cut loose so early in the off season?

Even though it's possibly that Cruz could rejoin the Giants it doesn't seem likely which makes the early release of Cruz and Jennings the right move from Big Blue. This gives both players ample opportunity to find a roster spot on another team. I think I speak for Giants' fans when I say I truly hope both players get another shot elsewhere.
