We’re Talking About Hair?

The hype for the Super Bowl has hit an all-time low.  There is a one striking exception for this particular Super Bowl.When SportsCenter is teasing, "Who has the better hair - Troy Polamalu or Clay Matthews?"  It means one of two things.  Either it's a sure sign that the end is near, or it means that the hype for Super Bowl XLV is really, really bad.

I love the matchup.  The Steelers taking on the Packers has great historical significance.  It has all of the makings of a great game.  There just having been a lot of juicy headlines leading up to this game.  Come on, when ESPN is literally breaking down who has better hair, the well is dry.

The interesting thing to me is this.  There is a very good chance that the hype for Super Bowl XLV won't live up to the game.  Think about that.  Normally, there is plenty of hype for the Super Bowl.  Sometimes the game doesn't live up to the hype.  There has been such a lack of compelling buzz leading up to this game, that I could easily the hype not doing the game justice.  We'll see.
