Western Athletic Conference to Host Coaches vs. Cancer on Sat.

As we continue to ramp up our excitement for the 2015-16 high school basketball season, we also remember Section II that often goes a long way toward making a difference in the community.

This Saturday, Nov. 28, the Western Athletic Conference is hosting its "Coaches vs. Cancer Tip-Off Classic" at Fulton-Montgomery Community College.

We learned about the event today from Northville Athletic Director John Karbowski. We learned about the history of the event, why it's important to Northville and more.

All the proceeds from the day go to the American Cancer Society. In addition to being for a good cause, the day features seven WAC teams, so you'll see some very competitive basketball from a very competitive league.
