What Is the Least Surprising NFL ‘Black Monday’ Firing? — Sports Survey of the Day
Once again, a slew of NFL coaches and personnel fell victim to 'Black Monday,' the first day after the close of the regular season, when teams tend give unsuccessful or disappointing coaches the pink slip. Which is the least surprising this season?
The front-runner for least surprising firing is longtime Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid. After a 4-12 season, it was pretty obvious that the team would send him packing.
The Browns also didn't surprise anyone by terminating the contract of head coach Pat Shurmur, after Cleveland finished 5-11. The Kansas City Chiefs had a disastrous 2-14 campaign, so it's no big shock to see Romeo Crennel go.
Norv Turner also needs a jew job now, after the San Diego Chargers ended the season at 7-9, missing the playoffs. San Diego also fired their general manager, A.J. Smith.
