Matt Harvey is on the disabled list, and even worse for Mets fans, he's visiting a vascular specialist in St. Louis.
For a team that likes to internalize injury concerns, the fact that Harvey is going outside the organization is very concerning. Dr. Robert Thompson has dealt with the Mets before, as he diagnosed Dillon Gee's artery condition in 2012, and saw Chris Young in 2013, who has Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. If Harvey suffers from this as well, his season could be over.
We brought in Dr. Bob today to break down the issues that Harvey is facing and what Thoracic Outlet Syndrome is. What are the best and worst case scenarios for Harvey and how long could he be sidelined for?
