While Siena Hits New Lows UAlbany Hits A New High
2 schools just miles apart in geography but on the basketball court the distance seems much wider. While the Saints hit a new low in losing to La Salle, their 1st ever 6 game home losing skid to begin a season, The Great Danes achieved a new milestone by defeating Navy 71-61 their 10th win of the season, their most ever as a member of Division 1 in non-conference play.
The Danes bolted out to grab a 12 point lead on the road against Navy then exchanged baskets for the most part in upping their road record to 5-1 so far this season.
Another milestone was the individual numbers put up by Jacob Iati as he poured in a career high 26 points, including 6 from 3 point land. Navy was led on the stat sheet by Tilman Dunbar who knocked down 17.
UAlbany snaps their very modest 1 game losing streak after reeling off 6 straight wins right before that. The Great Danes have 1 more game left, against the Brown Bears on Monday before diving into full time conference play against UMBC on January 2nd.
