Whitley Ready For 2nd Pro Season (AUDIO)

All week long on 'Levack' we have been helping to prep you for baseball fans by taking you on our 'Capital Region Spring Training Tour.' We have interviewed a different Capital Region ballplayer as they get ready to head off to Spring Training.

On Monday we spoke to La Salle grad JP Sportman (Athletics), on Tuesday we spoke to Maple Hill grad Jaime Schultz (Rays) and on Wednesday we spoke to Hudson grad Justin Brantley (Indians). And today, we head to Tampa again to catch up with Niskayuna graduate Garrett Whitley.

Whitley was the No. 13 overall pick in the draft last year out of high school. We asked him about the pressures of being the first-round pick and does he ever get weighed down from the Capital Region fans that are always reaching out to him.

Furthermore, we asked him about any advice he received from Schultz and we asked him what the first thing he bought with his $3 million signing bonus.
