Will the New York Yankees show that they are still the big brother of the big apple, or will the New York Mets show that they are the superior team?  This isnlt your usual subway series tale. The Yankees sit three games back in its division, and can't afford to lose any games if they want to stay in the hunt for the AL East title.  The only way the Mets won't win its division is if they have catastrophic meltdown.

Here's how they will matchup.

Friday: Masahiro Tanaka (12-6, 3.40) vs. LHP Steven Matz (3-0, 1.88).

Saturday: Michael Pineda (10-8, 4.25) vs. RHP Noah Syndergaard (8-6, 3.20)

Sunday: CC Sabathia (4-9, 4.93) vs. RHP Matt Harvey (12-7, 2.88).

The Yankees have a firm grasp on the top wild card. With 17 games remaining, it would take a monumental collapse for the team to drop their  five-game lead over the second wild card team.

This Mets have nothing to lose right? Wrong, this is a pride series for the Mets, no one outside Queens believes this team is New York's team. You also don't want to mess with a good run. The Mets have waited a long time for this opportunity, and want pinstripe blood.
