The Cleveland Browns have never played in a Super Bowl in their franchise’s history. So why does a 28 year old quarterback that has already started in a Super Bowl want to play for the Browns? Reports are circulating that Colin Kaepernick is interested in joining the Cleveland Browns because of their new head coach Hue Jackson.  Hue Jackson was a part of the 2011 Oakland Raiders staff that had Kaepernick high on their draft board that season. In fact Kaepernick recalled that meeting in 2011. "Coach Jackson told me before the draft they were going to do everything they could to try to get me,'' said Kaepernick. "I thought there was a good chance they'd pick me. I never heard anything from the 49ers before the draft after I worked out for them [at Nevada]. I just figured they weren't interested." Kaepernick is a versatile quarterback that can beat defenses with both his arms and legs. So why isn’t Kaepernick interested in staying with new head coach Chip Kelly in San Francisco? 49ers Insider Ryan Sakamoto answered whether or not Kaepernick will ever be back as a 49er.

“At the end of the day I would say never. If the two sides can mutually agree on hey, this what our vision is going forward for the next 2-3 years I think something can be worked but it goes further than just the player coach relationship: it goes to a player to player relationship and I think that some of the current players I have spoke with and some of the former players I have spoke with it’s kinda of 50-50, half the players believe in Kaepernick half of them don’t”

Will Kaepernick be able to establish more respect from teammates in his new team’s locker room?  Or will the former 2nd Round pick still stay in the bay area? Ryan Sakamoto answered those questions and more today
