Wide Open Kentucky Derby Will Be a Fun Watch

Saturday’s Kentucky Derby is so wide open it’s hard to pick a winner, but Mechanicville trainer Chad Brown certainly draws the rooting interest from the Capital Region. Brown will send 20-1 shot Practical Joke to the starting gate. I worry about this horse getting the 1 ¼ distance, but it’s possible Brown ends up in the winner’s circle. Brown says winning the Travers is more important than winning the Derby, but you can bet he will be all smiles if he wins the Run for the Roses.
