Well at least someone or someone's are doing well with the NHL in lockdown. The minor leagues led by the AHL are hoping to draw bigger crowds and get more exposure.

That added exposure is playing itself out as the AHL, in conjuncture with SiriusXM announced they will pick up and carry several AHL games on it's NHL channel.

The two entities announced a joint deal that will see the NHL Channel on satellite radio carry 19 American Hockey league games as of now. The schedule starts this Friday, October 12th with a double header.

First up is Oklahoma City vs Lake Erie followed by Peoria at Abbotsford. Where the heck is Abottsford? And is Costelloville going to be at the game? (that was a joke, haha haha)

Our local team, the Albany Devils will have one game as of now scheduled for airing. That match takes place when the Connecticut Whale come to the Times Union Center for a game against the Devils October 24th. The puck drops at 7:05 pm.

As for the big boys they are going to meet again on Wednesday and once again the "non-economic" issues are on the table. This is good you fools. Discuss the toilet paper, the coach's wardrobe and other "pressing" issues. Let us know when  you get around to the real issues, ok?  Not sure who even cares anymore. I do, but am losing patience.
