Hope Solo says the U.S. women's team didn't choke against Japan in the World Cup Final.  Her logic might be worse than her voice.

The U.S. women's soccer team had a golden chance to win another World Cup title.  They didn't cash in on many opportunities to score goals in the 1st half.  They allowed a horrible first goal by Japan.  They were also brutal in penalty kicks.  It was a choke job.  Hope Solo was a guest on ESPN on Tuesday and said that it wasn't a choke by the U.S.  She also said that, "Anyone who doesn't truly know the game says we choked."

I love that line.  How many times do soccer players and soccer fans play the "you just don't get it" card?  It happens all of the time.  I don't need to know all of the intricacies of soccer to arrive at the conclusion that the U.S. completely blew it.  You don't need to know everything there is to know about the NFL to say that Big Ben Roethlisberger played badly in Super Bowl XLV against the Packers.  I can recognize a bad performance when I see one.
