Wrestlemania 34 Hits New Orleans This Sunday

WWE will hold their annual Wrestlemania event this Sunday from the SuperDome in New Orleans. The staff at 1045 The Team and Q103 offered their match predictions for the biggest professional wrestling event of the year. What do you think will happen this Sunday night? What are you hoping will happen? Let us know below.

Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal 

Winner: Samoa Joe

Goz: This match has been very tough to predict the past few years. My best guess is a surprise wrestler is an entry and wins it. I'll take Samoa Joe in a return to win this event. 

Women's Battle Royal Winner

Winner:Bayley

Goz: Bayley was super popular a few years ago when she was an NXT superstar. Something just hasn't quite clicked for her in WWE. A Wrestlemania victory plus playing up the "under dog/Cinderella" story could make this a great moment. 

Tag Team Match: Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey vs Stephanie McMahon and Triple H 

Winner: Angle and Rousey

Goz: This will be interesting to see how Rousey performs in her first match as a full time WWE wrestler. Maybe more interesting will be how the die-hard WWE fans in attendance respond to her. Likely finish his her putting McMahon in arm bar for the submission win. 

Tag Team Match Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

Winner: Owens and Zayn

Goz: The "get their job back" if they win storyline makes me believe this will go in favor of Owens and Zayn. I predict something strange to happen in the match tho. Maybe Bryan joins with Owens and Zayn? Maybe McMahon becomes a heel and joins them? Interesting to see how the post match plays outs. 

Cruiserweight Championship (Mustafa Ali vs Cedric Alexander)

Winner: Ali

Goz: I loved the cruiserweights in the WCW Nitro days. This division hasn't done anything for me. Ali would be a fun story tho. 

United States Championship Randy Orton (champion) vs Jinder Mahal vs Rusev vs Bobby Roode

Winner: Rusev

"Rusev Day" is so popular with the fans right now. The Wresltemania crowd would go wild if Rusev wins the title. Rusev pins Mahal to win it. 

Raw Tag Team Championship Match Sheamus and Cesaro (champions) vs Braun Strowman and TBA

Winner: Strowman and...Killian Dane?

Goz: Someone is going to come out and get the crowd going wild. Maybe Lashley? Maybe some popular NXT star like Killian Dane? After almost winning the Andre The Giant Battle Royal last year, Dane returns to Mania and wins the title with Strowman. 

Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match The Usos (champions) vs The New Day vs The Bludgeon Brothers 

Winner: The New Day

Goz: They "hosted" in last year's Wrestlemania. Booty-O's for everyone after the New Day pins The Bludgeon Brothers for the titles. 

Raw Women's Championship Match Alexa Bills (champion) vs Nia Jax

Goz: Nia Jax

This match lasts less than three minutes. Jax wins her first title. 

Smackdown Women's Championship Match Charlotte Flair (champion) vs Asuka

Goz:Asuka

Should the streak end? Probably.  I would have predicted Charlotte or Ronda Rousey to eventually end Asuka's streak? Is Asuka too dull now? Does a Flair win make things more interesting? Yes. Everything tells me it's Asuka's win. 

Intercontinental Championship The Miz (champion) vs Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins

Goz: Finn Balor

After the amazing twelve months The Miz has had, he should win but he won't. Maybe a future move on to a WWE title feud with Roman Reigns? Balor gets the IC title over The Miz and begins a long reign as champion. 

WWE Championship AJ Styles (champion) vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Goz: Styles

This will be the match of the night! Two of the best in ring performers in the world. Nakamura's time to win the title looked like it would come at Summerslam. It didn't. Styles retains in a classic Wrestlemania match. 

**John Cena vs The Undertaker**(not scheduled)

Goz: Hope it doesn't happen.I'm so fed up with The Undertaker nonsense. He has had horrible Mania matches the past five years. He works the same schedule as Santa Claus now. Last year's Wrestlemania main event was about him retiring... so he will unretire this year? Hoping it doesn't happen. 

WWE Universal Championship Brock Lesnar (champion) vs Roman Reigns

Goz: Reigns

The final match likely ever for Brock Lesnar in the WWE. Reigns wins unlike what happened at Wrestlemania 31's main event when Seth Rollins cashed in the Money In the Bank briefcase.
