That's all lies and it's a lie because the reality is my name is Joe and I've been living with leukemia for 11 years and unfortunately it's back. Because the leukemia is back, I can't fulfill my role. I can't be that fighting champion and I'm going to have to relinquish the universal championship. I'm not going to lie, I'll take every prayer you can send my way but I'm not looking for sympathy, I'm not looking for you to feel bad for me because I have faith

Following Reigns' announcement WWE posted a video on Twitter showing performers showing their support backstage for Reigns.

After I heard the announcement last night I posted this to my personal Twitter account (@TomGozz) " This is one of those “Where were you when?” moments in history  "

I truly believe that. Last night is unlike any night I can ever remember in my time watching professional wrestling. The most popular entertainer in the businesses missing time not because of an injury, but a life alerting disease. The end of last night's WWE Monday Night Raw did in some ways play to the storyline (Reigns' friends in the group The Sheild) turning on one another after the match but still that dramatic finish was overshadowed by the Reigns' news. Last night for me was the most shocking moment I can ever remember in WWE history. What did you make of the news last night? Is it the most shocking moment in WWE history? Let us know below.
